Hello, my name is Bryan Treguboff and I incorporated Universal Pool Service Inc. in 2002, but that wasn't the start of my pool service background. I started out in 1996 as a lifeguard at a public swimming pool. In 1998, I received my lifeguard instructor certification as well as my water safety instructor certification and became the head lifeguard at a year-round public swimming pool in the West Valley. I was learning back then how to maintain swimming pools at a much stricter level than residential pools due to the health codes involved with public pools.

After a few years, I moved on to working for one of the largest residential swimming pool service companies there is and quickly had a very large residential pool route that I maintained. Working for this company allowed me to service a very diverse number of pools well into the thousands. This, in turn, made it very effective for me to know the differences in pools as well as customer needs.

When I started Universal Pool Service, I had no leads, no knowledge of running a business, nor anyone to help me. Through hard work and countless hours in the field, I began to build something out of nothing. In 2009, I became certified by the National Swimming Pool Foundation to be a pool operator.

I have tried many ways of having people work for me including having actual employees. I have had many ups and downs with owning a business as I am sure many other business owners have, but I am stronger for all that I have been through. I feel this makes my company stronger as well.

I won't say that we know everything there is to know about swimming pools, but we give it our best to know as much as possible. We may not be the cheapest company and I know we are not the most expensive. Yes, I do believe you get what you pay for in most situations. I just want us to be that surprise you get after you have had us provide swimming pool service for you — that surprise that, yes, quality and reliability can be provided by a company that doesn't break the bank.
